AFCON 2019: You Can Make It, Obuah Charges Super Eagles

Impressed with the quarter finals victory of the Super Eagles of Nigeria against their Bafana Bafana of South Africa counterparts in the ongoing African Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt, the Rivers State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bro. Felix Obuah is optimistic that winning the coveted trophy is almost assured.

Bro. Obuah who reacted shortly after the Nigerians beat the Bafana Bafana Boys in an explosive encounter Wednesday to advance to the Semi Finals of the tournament, said winning the Nations Cup for Nigeria for the fourth time is achievable if the boys remain focused, disciplined and scale the remaining two hurdles to glory.

Bro. Obuah, who is also the Founder of Go-Round FC, affirmed that the team handlers and the crop of players at their disposal have all it takes to lift the trophy and urged them to replicate the resilient and indomitable spirit which they are known for, in the remaining two matches.

Bro. Obuah, a renowned sports philanthropist, said he is impressed with the technical and tactical output so far deployed by the Super Eagles in the tournament, and urged them to sustain the tempo.

While reminding the boys that although the remaining matches may not be a walkover, having knocked out Cameroun (defending champions) and South Africa who edged out the host nation, Egypt, the Rivers PDP boss believes the uncommon achievements should  serve as added momentum and assured the Super Eagles not to waver as Nigerians are diligently praying for them.

Bro. Obuah said he was particularly excited at the victory against South Africa, as he viewed it as a good payback following the shocking 2-0 home defeat in the hands of Bafana Bafana during the qualifying rounds of the African Nations Cup in a match played at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo in 2018.
