It was indeed, a red letter day and the weather was favourable as all roads led to Landmark Hotel on Sunday, November 15, 2020, where the Entertainment world took Amb. Millicent Jack by storm when they gave her mind blowing birthday surprises.
According to the chairman of the occasion, Comrade Sokari Emmanuel, the ceremony was a trail blazer, a celebration of her 54th birthday, a show of love, honour and also celebration of what God has been doing in the life of the celebrant.
He said over time in the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) all they have been doing was to celebrate the death, they've not been able to celebrate the living legends of which the celebrant is one of the legends.
Comrade Sokari said the celebrant is one of the best costumier in Africa and that she has been a mother to so many in the industry, so they took out time to celebrate her that she is still alive and wished her greater years ahead.
Speaking on the crisis rocking the AGN Rivers State chapter, he said the situation is sad but the situation need the founding fathers and the elders of the state to come together so as to look into the happenings for the truth to be told.
He said the reason behind the crisis was that on one was able to point out the truth because of election. Alleging that certain persons wanted certain person to be in position wrongly or rightly which he says is not right. Noting that there are criteria to be met before one can be elected into such position. However, made a promise that soon or later they would find a lasting solution to see that the guild returns back to normalcy.
Rev. Tammy Clarizza, an actress and also the producer of TV series called Checkmate said Amb. Jack is worthy of celebration that was the reason she joined the team of producers, actors, actresses, friends, well-wishers and family members to celebrate her.
Rev. Clarizza described the celebrant as a total package saying she is a dancer, director, an actress and a costumier who has so much in the entertainment industry. And prayed that the world would continue celebrate her.
Other who lent their voices at the event were Chief Lawrence Uche Lawrence, Joy Success Amaewhule, the former chairman of AGN Ugochukwu Orikoa, the chairman of the Association of Movie Practitioner (AMP) Sir Precious Sunday A.K.A. Document, Ibifuro George, Ibiba Briggs.
The celebrant stated that there was actually no plan to celebrate her birthday anniversary this year, adding that the scenario came as a pleasant surprise “I am so overwhelmed, I mean words are scared of my lips. I'm not aware of anything that was going to happen like this Ibiba Briggs only told me that we are going to a photo shoot on my birthday”, she said.
The celebrant prayed God almighty to replenish the efforts of all those that celebrated her.
