Councillor Fumes Over Barbaric Killing In Khana Community

…Calls For 4 Days Prayer, Fasting In Kpean Community

The Councilor representing Ward 18 in Khana Legislative Assembly, Hon. Batambari Prince Sunday has condemned the gruesome murder of four youths in Kpean Community last weekend and called for police investigation to fish out the killers.

The Councilor who spoke while addressing the people of Kpean Community on Monday, described the incident as barbaric but vowed that no stone would be left unturned to get at the evil gang that are disturbing not only the peace of Kpean Community but that of Ogoniland as a whole.

He urged those engaged in crime and criminality to draw from the lesson of the late Honest Diigbara popularly known as Boboski who after all his evil escapades, still met his waterloo at the hands of security men.

Hon. Sunday however urged the people of Kpean to be positive and not to give up hope, adding that with unity of purpose, peace and tranquility will reign in the area.

The councilor while urging the people to commit their lives in the saving hands of God also called for four days prayer and fasting in the whole of Kpean Community, saying with God in charge, all those troubling the land would be exposed and brought to book.

“A Good name is better than expensive cloths, if our hearts are clean, then the society will be clean as well. We all have parents and relatives at home, so stop this unwarranted killings” he said.

The Divisional Police Officer in charge of Bori Division, SP Bako who was present at the occasion thanked the people for the support given the police in tracking and subsequently killing the most wanted criminal in the land, Boboski.

The DPO warned those still engaged in criminality to drop their guns and embrace peace, saying there would be no safe haven for erring youths in Ogoniland and Rivers State in general.

SP Bako also called for holistic collaboration amongst the stakeholders and expressed gratitude about several attempts by Hon Sunday in sustaining tranquil atmosphere in his community and other villages under his watch as their representative.
