We Want Elections Not War – MOSOP Tell Nigerian Soldiers

The Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) has expressed displeasure over palpable fears among the Ogoni people following political tension in the land ahead of tomorrows Governorship and House of Assembly polls. Nsuke who decried the militarization of Ogoniland as threat to the peace of Ogoniland and causing monumental fears among the people said it appears the election outcome could be determined by the military and not the will of the people.

The president of MOSOP, Fegalo Nsuke, spoke in Ebubu in Eleme local government area of Rivers State Nsuke today just few hours to the elections describing the dominant presence of the military in Ogoniland as signaling a declaration of War on the Ogoni people. 

MOSOP urged the Nigerian Military not to worsen an already miserable condition to which SHELL and Nigeria’s discrimination have already confined the Ogoni people
