Oshiomhole Lacks The Temperament To Function As National Chairman — Idahosa

Chief Charles Idahosa, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Edo State, has called on Adams Oshiomhole, National Chairman of the party, to resign from his position with immediate effect, saying he lacks the temperament needed for the exalted office.

Speaking on the attack on Governor Godwin Obaseki and other important dignitaries at the residence of Oshiomhole in Iyamho, Edo state at the weekend, Idahosa, who was former Political Adviser to Oshiomhole said it is unfortunate that a national chairman of a ruling party can harbour thugs in his residence.

He also described as lies the statement by Oshiomhole that he was attacked in Benin a fortnight ago by suspected thugs working for the state government.

“Nobody attacked Oshiomhole in Benin. Oshiomhole is just shameless.  Don’t you see the puerile response he was giving, that it was the Deputy Governor, Phillip Shaibu that organized thugs to his house? How can you as national chairman of a political party invite people to your house for lunch and they were attacked in your compound?”“I don’t want to be sounding like a broken record on this matter anymore.  All what I have been saying were reechoed by Prof. Itse Sagay last week. Dele Sobowale, the popular columnist also said the same today”.

“The man doesn’t have the temperament to be the national chairman of a political party. He should resign and look for something else to do. How can you attack a sitting governor and destroying vehicles? It is clear that he was never attacked in Benin. It is a lie.”

“Now, the governor, Oba of Lagos and the Chancellor of Edo state university, Iyamho and other prominent Nigerians were attacked in your compound and you are now begging them to come and eat. How can you have thugs inside your compound? I’m just sick and tired of this man.”

“I know there are some people in Edo state who are supporting him but they are going to regret.  Obaseki has just governed for three years but Oshiomhole governed Edo state for eight years but nobody gave him problem”.

“For eight years we were in opposition, we were abusing Anenih. For one day, Anenih never brought police to arrest us. The situation is very embarrassing and I think Oshiomhole should just resign” he said. (Independent)
