Royal Father, Happy Over Vote For Own Son As Next Council Chairman

The Amanyanabo of ancient Ele Kingdom in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, King Felix Tamunoseipiriala Okuru has expressed gratitude to the people of the area for massively voting their illustrious son to be the chairman of the council during the just concluded local government election.

King Felix Tamunoseipiriala Okuru, Apina VII in a statement said the people of Ele kingdom are elated for the confidence reposed in a son of the area, which is first of its kind since the creation of the local government, and expressed optimism that the elected chairman, Barr. Vincent Nemieboka will serve them meritoriously.

The ancient Ele monarch congratulated the chairman-elect on his victory at the polls and enjoined the entire people of the local government area despite their political leanings to join hands with the new chairman to move the area to a greater height.

The traditional ruler thanked God for the opportunity given to their son, Barr. Vincent Nemieboka and commended the leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the state Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike for ensuring a peaceful and credible election in the state as well as the leadership of the local government area, and prayed God to continue to give him the courage, wisdom and protection to further take the state to a higher level.

He assured that the people of ancient Ele kingdom will always be grateful, loyal and supportive to the present administration, so that development would strive in all nooks and crannies of the state with the prevailing peace in the state.

Meanwhile, King Felix Tamunoseipiriala Okuru, who cast his vote at Ward 12, Unit 5, Oruchin in Ele during the local government elections on Saturday expressed satisfaction with massive turn-out of voters and their peaceful conduct, and thanked the people for their peaceful conduct, and thanked the people for their show of solidarity in appreciating God and mankind for the mandate given to their son for the first time in the history of Ogu/Bolo Local Government.

In her speech, the PDP Woman Leader, Ward 12 Ele kingdom, Madam Florence Dakiri Taribo Imbu thanked the women for their massive participation in the election and gave gratitude to God for the opportunity given to their son by the party, stressing that everybody is happy while appealing that women of Ele should be empowered to carry out small scale businesses.

However, the elected chairman of Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, Barr. Vincent Nemieboka after casting his vote at Ward 12, Unit 6 in Ele at about 11:30am described the election as free and fair and thanked the people for their peaceful disposition.
